What a wedding! On 26th March we headed back to Town Head Estate, for an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding!

Timings of the day

1:30pm – Ceremony

2pm – Welcome drinks & canapés

3:30pm – Guests Seated

4pm – Wedding Breakfast

5:30pm – Cut the cake

5:35pm – Speeches

8:30pm – First dance

9pm – Evening food

After the ceremony we served canapés to the bride, groom and all of the guests which included

  • Spicy Lamb Koftas
  • Blinis with Creme Fraiche & Cartmel Valley Smoked Salmon
  • Caramelised Onion Tart Tatin (Vegan)

The guests were seated at 3:30pm to their Alice in Wonderland themed tables (Off with their heads, Im late Im late, Mad Hatters, We’re all mad here, Curioser, Have I gone mad?, Wonderland, Who are you? and Down the rabbit hole) and the wedding breakfast was served

 

Main Course

  • Lamb Shank with Lamb Gravy, Dauphinois Potatoes, Pea Puree, Asparagus, Broad Beans & Pea Shoots
  • OR Chicken Fillet Stuffed with Mozzarella, Sun Blush Tomatoes & Basil, Wrapped in Prosciutto served with a Rich Chicken Jus
  • OR Roasted Vegetable Wellington with a Chasseur Sauce
  • All served with Fondant Potatoes & Summer Vegetables
  • We served the children with Chicken Goujons & Chips

Dessert

  • Hot Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce & English Lakes Double Jersey Ice Cream
  • OR Meringue Roulade Oozing with Summer Berries & Raspberry Coulis
  • OR Dark Chocolate Brownie with English Lakes Vegan Ice Cream
  • Tea & Coffee

 

At 9pm later on in the evening it was time for the evening food to be served

  • Newspaper Cones of Chips
  • Home-Made Pizzas with 2 Toppings
  • Chicken Shawarma Wraps
  • Chickpea, Spinach & Butternut Squash Curry with Rice

What a wonderful wedding! It was so nice and refreshing to see something a bit different for a wedding. It definitely makes the day a lot more fun not just for us suppliers, but for guests attending too!
