On Friday 24th September we headed to Lyth Valley Hotel for an evening wedding celebration for Fenny & Barrie.

Timings of the day

4:30pm – Ceremony

6:30pm – Welcome drinks & canapes

7:30pm – Guests seated

7:45pm – Wedding breakfast

8:45pm – Speeches

9:10pm – Cut the cake

9:15pm – First dance

10pm – Evening food

At 6:30pm we served the bride & groom & guests the canap├ęs which included

  • Thai Fish Cakes with Chilli Sauce
  • Chilli & Garlic Prawns
  • Duck Pancakes
  • Scotch Quail Eggs
  • Spinach & Feta Filo Parcels

The bride & groom opted for a 3-course wedding breakfast with a twist!

  • Otak-Otak (Fish Cake wrapped in Banana Leaf) Served with a Spicy Peanut Sauce
  • Veggie Starter Option of Melon, Berries & Coulis

Main Courses

  • Beef Rendang
  • Sate Lilit Ikan (Balinese Fish Satay) Served with Sambal Matah
  • Gado-Gado (Steamed Vegetables with Tofu/Tempeh and Egg
  • Nasi Kunig (Yellow Rice)
  • Plain Jasmine Rice

Desserts

  • Portuguese Tart
  • Pannacotta

At 10pm we served everything with evening food

  • Selection of Cheese, Biscuits, Grapes, Celery & Home-Made Chutney
  • Selection of English Lakes Ice Cream
  • Tea & Coffee
