The day started at the stunning Hawkshead Church. It was a glorious day and the ceremony was set for 1.00pm.
Following the ceremony guests came back to Silverholme in vintage buses.
Drinks & canapes were ready on arrival in the garden. Claire & Simon wanted something a little bit different so to the guests delight Aperol Spritz was on offer!
Silverholme is such a fantastic venue and lends itself to a marquee wedding.
The marquee was stunning and provided by Millennium Marquees in Cheshire.
For the wedding breakfast, Claire & Simon wanted to treat their guests to a Lakeland style menu:
Twice Baked Cumbrian Cheese Soufflé with a Champagne Cream Sauce
Served with Mixed Leaves
Baskets of Home-made Breads
—
Herb Crusted Rack of Herdwick Lamb with a Redcurrant and Mint Jus
Dauphinois Potatoes
Spring Green Vegetables
—
Trio of Desserts:
Mini Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce and Ice Cream
Eton Mess Shot
Mini Lemon Tart
—
Farrers Coffee, Tea & Chocolate Fudge
One of our favourite ideas on the day was the gin bar! With every gin you could possibly imagine and it was fantastic.
The evening ended with the fab Hot Jazz Biscuits and guests dancing the night away.
