Timings of the day

11:30am – Ceremony

1pm – Welcome drinks & canapes

2:30pm – Guests Seated

3pm – Wedding Breakfast

4:30pm – Speeches

8pm – Cut the cake

8:30pm – First Dance

9pm – Evening Food

Midnight – Carriages

At 1pm we served welcome drinks of Beer & Prosecco and canap├ęs which included

  • Honeyed Sausages
  • Chilli & Garlic Prawns
  • Mushroom Vol-Au-Vents

At 2:30pm the guests were seated ready for the 3-course wedding breakfast

Starters

  • Chicken Liver Parfait with Inion Marmalade Rosemary Toast & Mixed Leaves
  • Thai Fish Cake with Sweet Chilli Sauce & Coriander Garnish
  • Baskets of Home-Made Breads and Plates of Butter

Mains

  • Roast Leg of Lakeland Lamb with Redcurrant & Mint Gravy
  • Roast Topside of Beef
  • Both served with Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire Puddings & Summer Vegetables

Desserts

  • Lemon Tart with Lemon Curd, Pistachios & Raspberry Sorbet
  • Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce & English Lakes Ice Cream
  • Cheese & Biscuits
  • Tea, Coffee & Home-Made Fudge

The couple hired an outside caterer to provide them with a large hog roast for the evening food (150+ guests) at 9pm
