Timings of the day

2:30pm – Ceremony

3pm – Welcome drinks and canapés

4:30pm – Speeches

5pm – Guests seated

7:30pm – Evening guests arrive

8pm – First dance

9:45pm – Cut the cake

10pm – Evening food

Midnight – Bar to close

At 3pm after the ceremony we served the canapés to all of the guests and bride and groom which included

  • Mini Leek & Cheese Tartlets
  • Blinis with Smoked Salmon & Creme Fraiche
  • Spinach & Feta Filo Parcels
  • Haggis Bon Bons
  • Seared Tuna with Sesame Seeds & Soy Sauce

The couple opted for a classic 3 course wedding breakfast of starter, main & dessert

  • Roasted Winter Vegetable Soup
  • OR Caramelised Shallot & Goats Cheese Tarte Tatin with Mixed Leaves & Balsamic Glaze
  • All served with baskets of Home-Made Breads

Main Courses

  • Rump of Lakeland Lamb with Lamb Gravy
  • OR Fillet of Sea Bream with Cherry Tomatoes, Olives, Lemon Juice
  • OR Roasted Vegetable Wellington with Chasseur Sauce
  • All served with Fondant Potato & Roasted Winter Vegetables

Desserts

  • Warm Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream
  • OR Creme Brûlée with Lemon Shortbread

10pm, and it was time for the evening food

  • Newspaper Cones of Fish & Chips
  • Chicken Shawarma Wraps
