the order of the day

Last weekend we had the pleasure of catering for Hollie and April. We travelled to York to cater for their wedding which was honestly sensational! The wedding was at a family home with a marquee on the lawn. This was an extra special wedding for the team at Karen Rhodes as Charlotte is very good friends with Hollie as they spent secondary school together.

2.00pm – Ceremony
2.30pm – Welcome Drinks and Canapes
4.30pm – Guests Seated
5.00pm – Speeches
5.30pm – Wedding Breakfast
7.00pm – End of Meal
9.00pm – Evening Food
1.00am – Bar Close

The day started at 2pm with a breath taking outdoor ceremony! The weather was faultless and they couldn’t of wished for better.

After a gorgeous outside ceremony it was time for guests to make their way for drinks and canapes. Hollie and April decided they wanted walk around Lakeland canapes instead of a starter. While Champagne, Beers and Soft drinks were served it was time for the canapes to start.

After 2 hours of drinks and canapes in the sunshine it was time for guests to slowly make their way up to the marquee ready for speeches! After some incredible speeches it was finally up to Tom the best man to make his speech finish the speeches off with some very funny stories!

Once speeches were finished our team went round and handed out aprons, Chefs hats and knives to the designated carvers for the day.

Vegan Option – Vegan Chocolate Brownie served with Fresh Raspberries and Raspberry Sorbet

Once the meal was finished all the guests made their way outside the marquee to soak up the last of the sunshine for the day! While the band set up our team cleared the tables and got ready for a night of partying!

After the band’s first set we set up the evening food. Hollie and April chose a grazing table for evening food which is a great idea, guests can go up and help themselves and can keep going back for more!

Once evening food was finished and cleared our team spent the evening ensuring glasses, bottles and plates were cleared up and the marquee was kept tidy.

After a night of partying 1am arrived quickly and it was time for our team to leave. We ensured the bar was fully stocked ready for the guests to carry on partying!
