the order of the day

What an absolute pleasure it was planning this wedding with Rachael & Jon. From the moment we met we hit it off and were completely on the same wavelength when it came to the menu.

Guests were coming from all over the country and Rachael & Jon wanted to treat them to a Taste of the Lake District.

We started the meal off with a Lakeland Sharing Platter which is a great ice breaker! This consisted of Cumberland Sausage Rings, Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps, Waberthwaite Air Dried Ham & Melon, Holker Game Pate and Baskets of Home-made Breads. We serve this on a wooden board and this is put in the middle of the table for guests to help themselves to.

The main course was also a great hit. We served Joints of Roast Sirloin for a nominated guest on each table to carve. Rachael & Jon told us who they wanted to carve, we provided them with an apron, a chefs hat and a stick on moustache. It was great fun and a great idea if you want something a bit more informal.

For dessert Rachael & Jon chose a ‘Sticky Assiette’. Each guest got a Mini Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce & Ice Cream, Mini Blackberry Crumble and Eton Mess Shot.

We really loved working with the Bride and Groom, their family and all the suppliers on this wedding. It was a real pleasure.
