James and Sarah

James and Sarah chose to celebrate their special day at the lovely Barn in the Fells, a stones throw away from Ambleside, in idyllic Lakeland Hills. Choosing Michelle from The Floralistas to create beautiful florals for the barn and bouquets.

Once the ceremony was over and James and Sarah tied to knot in front of all their nearest and dearest friends and family, it was time for the drinks reception and canapés. James and Sarah chose a great range of canapés served over an hour for their guests to enjoy. this is a perfect amount of time as it gives guests the chance to catch up with each other and also for the Bride and Groom to be whisked away for some couples photos, which is exactly what happened. Velvet Cow Photography got some amazing shots of the new Mr and Mrs.

Moroccan Cauliflower Bites with Harissa Mayo,
Spinach and Feta Filo Parcels,
Croque Monsieur,
Honey Mustard Sausages with Mustard Mayo

This was a great combination of canapés! Once the drinks reception and canapés were over it was time for Annabel from Weddings by Annabel who coordinated the big day to call guests upstairs into the barn ready for the wedding breakfast, but first speeches. This is a great time to have speeches as it ensures that those who may be nervous about having a speech get it over and out of the way so they can enjoy their food!

The Wedding Breakfast

James and Sarah decided to have a mixture of sharing and plated courses. This was great as we always say sharing courses get the tables talking and what better thing is there to get a conversation flowing other than food? James and Sarah decided on a sharing starter followed by a plated main course and a plated dessert.
