Alexandra and Robert

Alexandra and Robert chose the Yorkshire Dales newest hidden gem for their wedding venue! The Lilymere Estate is situated in the hills on the boarder of Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales so it is surrounded by the most incredible scenery. Just off the M6 via junction 37 towards Sedbergh creating easy travel to accommodation for your guests.

Once you enter the gated venue you are welcomed with a treelined drive way down to the Marquee. Alexandra and Robert had Special Event Tipis sailcloth marquee which is a beautiful bright airy marquee we love to work in.

When hiring a marquee there are a few extra factors to remember, you will need portable toilets if the location doesn’t have any, they used Classic Champers. You will need to hire your table and chairs and of course your caterer.

After the most perfect outdoor ceremony Alexandra and Robert chose the most perfect canapés for their guests to enjoy in the September sun.

Canapés

Spinach and Feta Tartlets
Goat’s Cheese bon Bons, with Sweet Chilli Jam
Mini Newspaper Cones of Croquette Fries, Sweet Chilli Sauce
Pear, Prosciutto and Rocket Rolls
Smocked Chicken, Apple and Tarragon Crostini

The Lilymere Estate is lucky enough to have its own outstanding lake creating the most incredible pictures – I couldn’t pick one to show off the lake as you can tell above!

Toby and Hannah from Red on Blonde photography got the most incredible shots for the couple, perfect for a gallery wall! They used every location on the estate to create an incredible wedding album.

Following the canapés the wedding party made their way into the marquee which has been decorated with hanging flower arrangements and table decorations by Claire and Stephen from Fern Floral Designs. It was delicately beautiful matching September perfectly.

It was time for speeches from the bridesmaids and the father of the bride! We heard some incredible stories about the couple and it was a great introduction to the wedding breakfast.

After the main course Alexandra broke the wedding tradition and did her own speech to thank her guests and to gush over Robert a little bit too! We love hearing a brides speech too we get to know their story from another prospective and hear a few funny stories too!

Robert had his speech during desserts and the best man got to finish off the meal with some great tales once the desserts were cleared. These speeches were perfect for the wedding party because they didn’t hear them all at once and really broke the meal up.

After the best mans speech the guests made their way outside so the Danger Goat Band could set up and prepare for the evening party!

We had an amazing day at The Lilymere Estate with Alexandra and Roberts wedding! Thank you for having us cater your wedding day! All the best!
