Hot Buffet
Whilst you don’t need to go mad in the evening, if you’ve got evening guests travelling far or if you’ve had an early wedding, it’s a great idea to do something a little more substantial.
It works really well to do a simple hot dish with rice, potatoes and maybe some salad and bread. You can have a curry or a hot casserole or something totally different from the main wedding breakfast like a Lancashire hot pot, bangers and mash or fish and chips.
We’ve also done fondues, giant paellas in authentic Spanish paella pans, picnic baskets and many other novel ideas. If you have an idea yourself that’s different and unusual, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

Grazing Table
If you’ve got a lot of guests and you aren’t sure what to give them, a grazing table is a great idea. Its perfect if you have a large number of evening guests as they can easily make a meal of it whilst the day guests have more of a snack. Usually we include some of the following;
Honey Roasted Ham
Selection of Cheeses
Huntsmans Pie/Pork Pie
Chicken Liver Pate/Smoked Trout Pate
French Stick/Grissini
Cherry Tomatoes/Pickles & Chutney
Scotch Eggs

Cheese Wedding Cake / Cheese & Pork Pie Wedding Cake
This doubles up as your wedding cake and your evening food. The variety of cheeses can be altered but this one works really well.
Dewlay Lancashire
Coltson Bassett Stilton
Cornish Yarg
Brie
Smoked Westmorland
Allerdale Goats Cheese
Garnished with figs, grapes, strawberries & apricots
Served with biscuits & french bread
A great addition to this is to add a layer of pork pie
Or if you want to be really quirky you could have a complete pork pie wedding cake!
